Christian Community Action, our ministry partner that serves Denton County, needs your help as they minister to senior adults. Please sign up to sort, load, or deliver groceries to seniors in our community.  Location: CCA Food Pantry, 200 S. Mill Street, Lewisville.

Volunteer candidates can apply at:https://ccahelps.org/get-involved/#volunteermenu.  You will receive an introductory email with self scheduling instructions as well as other pertinent details.

• FOOD PANTRY ASSISTANTS

Unload, sort and organize food donations in the food pantry warehouse; available positions are generally afternoon to evening but there are morning spots if you schedule in advance; availability is M-F; must be able to lift boxes with food; must be at least 12 years of age and minors up to age 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult for safety

• GROCERY LOADERS (OUTDOORS)

Load groceries into CCA Angels' (client's) vehicles; available positions are generally 5:30-7:30pm depending on availability; must be able to work outdoors under a tent and lift small boxes and grocery bags; must be at least 16 years of age. 

• FOOD DELIVERY TEAMS

Teams of 2 (or a family in a car) will deliver a boxed lunch and groceries to approximately 4 senior citizens enrolled in the Golden Angels program. Volunteers will knock on the door and wait until the senior comes to the door.  Items will either be given directly to the senior, or (if the senior chooses) items can be placed on the door entrance for pick-up. Shifts are Mondays 10am or 11am, depending on availability. No age restriction but group must be able to focus on delivery project for up to 2 hours.
