Please note before registering:

  • Parent Meeting: Wednesday, September 3 from 5 to 5:15 p.m. in the MPR. At least one parent in each family should attend this important informational meeting.
  • Listening to Choir Music: Choir members are expected to regularly listen to their choir music outside of weekly rehearsals. Recordings will be made available in CD and online playlist formats. Every choir member must have access to a CD player or access to the online playlist apart from their parent’s phone. For some families, this may necessitate purchasing a device.

You will receive a detailed calendar for both semesters after you register, but for now please note the following key dates in our fall and spring semesters:

Fall:

  • Saturday, September 13: Cantate Dei will sing at the RoughRiders game.
  • Sunday, October 19: Gloria Dei will sing in both morning worship services.
  • Sunday, October 26: 3rd & 4th Grade and Cantate Dei Choirs will sing in both morning worship services.
  • Wednesday, November 19: Kinder–2nd Grade Choirs will present an open house during their final Wednesday choir rehearsal to conclude their semester. (Kindergarten choir will also present a living nativity during morning worship services on Sunday, November 30.)
  • Sunday, December 14: 3rd & 4th Grade, Cantate Dei and Gloria Dei Choirs will present their Christmas concert in both morning services.

Spring:

  • Sunday, February 22: 3rd & 4th Grade and Cantate Dei Choirs will sing in both morning worship services.
  • Sunday, March 1: Gloria Dei will sing in both morning worship services.
  • Sunday, March 29: Kindergarten–2nd Grade Choirs will sing in both morning worship services for Palm Sunday.
  • Sunday, May 3: 3rd & 4th Grade, Cantate Dei and Gloria Dei Choirs will sing in both morning worship services. K–12th Grade Choirs will present their spring concert that evening at 6:00.

Please take special note of the Sundays we will sing in worship. It is important that all choir members are present on these Sundays. We realize that this can be a challenge if you attend another church, but we do ask that you be able to commit to these two Sundays per semester when deciding to register for choir. Thank you!

STONEBRIAR COMMUNITY CHURCH

Minor Photo Release Form

For myself and for and on behalf of my child(ren) identified in this authorization (referred to as “Minor”), I hereby agree, represent and authorize as follows:

I grant Stonebriar Community Church, its successors, assigns and licensees (collectively, the “Church”) permission to use, reproduce, publish, broadcast, stream, and exhibit in any medium, the Minor’s portrait, photograph, image, voice, works of authorship, writings and statements in any form (collectively, the “Product”) which are created, captured or developed by or for the Church in connection with the Minor’s participation in Church events or activities. 

I irrevocably authorize the Church to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute the Product in all forms and media or technology now known or hereafter developed and in all manners for advertising, publicity, commercial, promotion, trade, or other lawful purpose. I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished Product. I waive any right to royalties or other compensation related to the use of the Product.

I hereby hold harmless and fully release the Church, its agents, volunteers, licensees, employees, and representatives from all claims, demands, and causes of action that I and/or the Minor, or our respective heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf, the Minor’s behalf, or on behalf of our respective estates, have or may have due to this authorization or the Church’s use of the Product as permitted herein.

I am the parent and/or legal guardian of the Minor and that my parental and/or legal guardian rights include the ability to sign this agreement on behalf of the Minor. I give my consent and authorization without reservation to the terms herein on behalf of the Minor.

I am 18 years of age or older and am competent to contract in my own name. I read this agreement and release before signing and I fully understand its contents.
