Thanks for Giving Food Collection

Help care for our community this Thanksgiving! Our church family is coming together again this holiday season to provide food for more than 500 local families in need. We will start by giving 75 Thanksgiving boxes to Frisco Family Services. The goal at Frisco Family Services is to provide low-income families, families in crisis, and senior citizens with a special Thanksgiving meal package. The traditional foods that make Thanksgiving special are typically not available from the food pantry, so these meal baskets include items such as a turkey and all the trimmings, as well as groceries for breakfasts and lunches.

Since the majority of these families have children who are on the free breakfast and lunch program at school, this helps ease the strain on their already tight budget during the holiday week. In addition to the Frisco Family Services boxes, we will also be packing grocery bags to help 500+ families in need throughout our surrounding community.

Together, we will provide more than 9,000 items needed for these boxes and bags. What a beautiful picture of the united body of Christ! One person can offer up something as simple as a can of green beans or a jar of coffee, and when that gift comes together with the gifts of others, we can provide for more than 500 families. Thanks for helping us show the love of Christ in tangible ways to our neighbors in need.

Stop by the Thanks for Giving tables around our church campus to find out which food items are needed. All donations are due Thursday, November 14.
