When the "shifts" of life occur, the aftermath is unpredictable and rarely stable. Our hope for kids dealing with the loss of a loved one is that as they process the shift they've undergone, they'll be equipped with the tools they need to build a solid foundation of faith and hope.
SHIFT is a 13-week program that features facilitators who have experienced loss, a small group consisting of peers who are also processing the death of a loved one, and age-appropriate lessons and activities to help kids explore their grief and God's promises regarding comfort, healing, hope, and eternity.
If you are interested in serving with us on the SHIFT team, please contact Lauri at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are especially in need of male leaders.
GriefShare, our ministry for adults over 18 who are dealing with the loss of a loved one, runs concurrently with SHIFT.
We will meet on Tuesday evenings. A light dinner will be served at 6, and class will begin at 6:30 - 8:00 in Junction 56 (B156).
Workbooks for SHIFT are $15 each, but don't let the cost hinder your child from joining! Scholarships are available. Indicate your need on the registration form.
