What is Missional U?

Missional U is thoughtful, challenging, multi-month adventure into the heart of God that includes guided cross-cultural missions experiences abroad and in our city.

Missional U is more than a trip overseas – it’s a discipleship path to a deeper understanding of yourself, your gifting, and your part in God’s mission to redeem the world.

You will walk side-by-side with the Missional Living team to learn about yourself and work to prepare to serve on one of our short-short term missions teams. When we say "learn" we mean going beyond reading and theory into the practical application of how to walk as a witness for Jesus in your everyday world.

HOW TO APPLY

Your completed application must be submitted by Feb. 22, 2019. All applications will be reviewed by a committee including the Missional Living Pastor.

Thank you so much for your interest in joining a short-term mission team from Stonebriar Community Church. Your life will be forever impacted by allowing yourself to be involved with what God is doing in many places all over the world. We hope this is just a small step on your way to having a Missional Living Mindset: where missions become part of every aspect of your life.

We want you to know the process for being selected to join a team. Filling out the application is the first step, but it does not guarantee your spot on a team.

  1. Fill out the Dallas Short-Term Missions Application, in its entirety.
  2. Email shorttermtrips@stonebriar.org a photograph of yourself.
  3. Often, an interview with the Missions Pastor will be required due to space limitations for a trip. This interview will help put together the team best equipped for the trip. You will be contacted when an interview is needed.

Once you have been selected to be part of the team, a $100 deposit will be required to secure your spot. Later, if you need to withdraw from the team, you will be responsible for any costs that have been incurred (such as airline tickets).

We will work with you throughout the entire process to ensure a trip that brings glory to God alone, beneficial to those in the mission field, and is enjoyable for you.
