When the "shifts" of life occur, the aftermath is unpredictable and rarely stable. Our hope for kids dealing with the loss of a loved one is that as they process the shift they've undergone, they'll be equipped with the tools they need to build a solid foundation of faith and hope.
SHIFT is a 13-week program that features facilitators who have experienced loss, a small group consisting of peers who are also processing the death of a loved one, and age-appropriate lessons and activities to help kids explore their grief and God's promises regarding comfort, healing, hope, and eternity.
We will begin our next SHIFT session on January 8 at 6 p.m. A light dinner will be served at 6, and class will begin at 6:30.
If you are interested in serving with us on the SHIFT team, please contact Lauri at lauril@stonebriar.org. We are especially in need of male leaders.
GriefShare, our ministry for adults over 18 who are dealing with the loss of a loved one, runs concurrently with SHIFT.
We will meet on Tuesday evenings. A light dinner will be served at 6, and class will begin at 6:30 - 8:00 in Junction 56 (B156).
Workbooks for SHIFT are $12 each, but don't let the cost hinder your child from joining! Scholarships are available. Indicate your need on the registration form.
